Background

I am a PhD student in the Statistical Demography group, where I develop and apply statistical modeling techniques to explore aspects of primate demography and evolution. My research is centered around the development and application of inference methods designed to assess the impact of early adversity on male baboons, all while considering unknown fates resulting from dispersal. Additionally, I am formulating statistical methodologies to deduce paternity among male baboons when genetic data is lacking. In the course of my master’s thesis, I investigated the variability of actuarial aging rates in mammals as they relate to the slow-fast life history continuum and whether these patterns align with the demographic buffering hypothesis.
